Braided needle

Ply Split needle or Pony braid needle. Ideal for making bags, backpacks or handles in the wayuu style. This needle is also used to make key chains, bracelets, purses and other accessories. This handmade braiding technique has its origins in the shepherds of northern India, who made ornaments for their animals and costume jewelry for women from colored threads. Ply splitting consists of intertwining different threads together: you just have to pass a twisted thread through the middle of another one with the help of this needle.
